The BioChef Vega uses the ‘expeller press’ method: using a screw to press the nuts and seeds through a barrel, creating friction and pressure to compress the ingredients. The pure oil is the separated from the pulp. This results in a clean oil, higher in natural colours and flavours.
It is absolutely essential to dry the nuts (particularly) to allow the oils to be ready to be pressed out. If they are not dried correctly, the pulp will mix will the oil.
